Not every notification deserves an answer
Not every opinion deserves a defence. Not every invitation deserves a yes. Not every bad mood deserves an online order. And not every anxious thought about money deserves to become a three-hour spiral.
Peace is sometimes incredibly unglamorous. It looks like closing the app. Waiting before buying. Saying “I’ll think about it.” Leaving the group chat alone for an evening.

The peace-before-action rule
Before a decision that feels emotionally charged, ask: “Would I still choose this if I felt calm right now?”
I love this question for spending because it creates a tiny space between the feeling and the purchase. It isn’t about never treating yourself. It’s about knowing whether you’re buying the thing or trying to buy the feeling.
